Miljan Gutovic has been CEO of Holcim since May 2024. Driven by a strong sense of purpose to decarbonize building at scale, Miljan leads the company’s commitment to deliver superior performance and value for all stakeholders.
Background
Miljan began his career at Holcim as Head of Middle East & Africa, becoming a member of the Group Executive Committee in July 2018. In November 2022 he became Region Head for Europe soon after expanded his role to lead Holcim’s Operational Excellence organization with a focus on decarbonization.
As Region Head Europe, Miljan turned sustainable growth into profitable growth, with an ambitious decarbonization roadmap delivering leading EBIT margins and increasing customer demand for advanced sustainable building solutions from ECOPact to ECOPlanet. A bold M&A strategy also contributed to strong regional growth and significantly expanded our footprint.
Miljan drove decarbonization across the Group as a whole in his Operational Excellence role: leading on renewable and green energy use, expanding green formulation, accelerating green mobility and deploying next-generation technologies such as carbon capture, utilization and storage.
He is a Member of the Steering Committee of the Global Cement and Concrete Association and previously worked for specialty chemical company Sika AG in various management roles.
Miljan holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a PhD in Engineering from the University of Technology in Sydney, and is an Australian national born in 1979.

Steffen Kindler was appointed as Chief Financial Officer of Holcim and has been part of the Executive Committee since April 2023.
Background
Before joining Holcim, Steffen Kindler held positions of increasing responsibility at Nestlé over the past 25 years, most recently serving as CFO for Nestlé Germany.
His broad experience spans key business roles including VP Finance and Control of Nestlé Beverages USA, based in Los Angeles; CFO of Nestlé Waters Europe, based in Paris; as well as responsibility for business development, based in the New York metropolitan area.
In addition, Kindler held roles of global responsibility for key corporate functions such as investor relations and mergers & acquisitions, based in Vevey.
Steffen Kindler holds a degree in Business Administration and Computer Science (Diplom Wirtschaftsinformatik) from the University of Mannheim. He is a German national and was born in 1970.
